The Rook started as a restaurant bar in the vibrant heart of Manayunk and was officially opened at the beginning of 2020. What we didn’t know was that a once in a 100 year pandemic was just months away. 

Fast forward 5 years later – The Rook Manayunk is renowned for its mouthwatering sandwiches, made fresh in their scratch kitchen. As Manayunk’s most desired bar, it offers a lively atmosphere and a menu that reimagines classic comfort food, making every bite a flavorful adventure. In addition to running a successful restaurant in Manayunk, The Rook has grown by opening two more locations, restoring Alex’s Pizza in Roxborough, PA, and now offering catering to all it’s patrons.
